Each year, Mayor Daley’s Summer Jobs Program receives more than 40,000 applications from young people seeking summer employment.
Most summer jobs last 6–8 weeks, beginning late June and ending early August (dates can be modified to meet employer needs).
Jobs may be full-time or part-time.
Employers are required to pay at least minimum wage.
Participants are ages 16–21.
Both employer and youth participant have an Account Executive for ongoing support and assistance.
Employers are welcome to invite their youth employee to remain on staff beyond the summer.
Mayor Daley’s Summer Jobs Program has successfully provided a link between many young people with disabilities and Chicago businesses.
