There are many ways to particpate

1. Offer summer jobs at your company that pay at least minimum wage.

  • Minimum wage for ages 16-17: $7.25
    • 20 hours per week for 8 weeks: $1120
    • 40 hours per week for 8 weeks: $2240
  • Minimum wage for ages 18-21: $7.75 per hour
    • 20 hours per week for 8 weeks: $1200
    • 40 hours per week for 8 weeks: $2400

2. Become a corporate sponsor. Underwrite one of the Job Readiness Training workshops, activities, or events.

Underwrite a portion of the Job Readiness Training and other events and activities to support Chicago’s youth. (Donations in any amount are appreciated and tax deductible.)

3. Hire youth with disabilities.

Mayor Daley's Summer Jobs Program has successfully provided a link between many young people with disabilities and Chicago businesses. If you are interested in hiring youth with disabilities, click here for more information.
