Your Family Guide to After School Programs

We know that kids who are involved in after school programs are healthier, safer and do better in school. Let's give our kids the best that we can offer. Let's make sure that they are actively engaged in constructive activities after the school bell rings. Experts tell us what every parent knows. When kids are actively involved in healthy, constructive programs, they do great. Just GETTING INVOLVED is enough to keep them away from the dangers of gangs, guns and drugs. And, the more that they participate the more they are likely to succeed.

Chicago is such a big City, and it offers so much, that we couldn't fit all of the resources for after school programs into one guide. So, we divided the City into six regions. The six regions are the same ones used by the Chicago Public Schools to organize school-time activities. You can pick the region where you live or go to school and learn more about what to do.
